 FESTIVAL IN 8 HOURS HAS RAISED £1473 FOR CHARITIES

 

5TH ANNUAL CAKES AND PUDDINGS FESTIVAL

 

Started in 2008 by Elaine Reedman and Hilary Hawkins and raised £273 for Breast Cancer Care.In 2009  for the selected Charities Farplace Animal Sanctuary and Weardale Animal Rescue receiving  £335 split between them  In 2010 Help For Heroes received £545 and  in 2011The World Wildlife Fund received £ 320.

This years event takes place on 7 July.

This year sees some changes in the Classes in that there will now be a class for Children under 14 ,a class for Adults and a class for Savoury Pies.

The Overall Winner will be awarded the Trophy and select next years Charity.

 THE FORMAT OF THE DAY IS THAT ALL ENTRIES ARE

JUDGED BY BALLOT FROM CUSTOMERS AT THE WEEKLY

RECYCLE SHOP AND INTERNET CAFE AND AT 12.00

WINNERS ANNOUNCED. 

ALL ENTRIES ARE THEN AUCTIONED AND THE FUNDS

ADDED TOGETHER WITH THE MORNINGS TAKINGS .
